Celebrating Community!
Therapeutic flying and Thai massage are the practices that hone an AcroYogis ability to be sensitive and receptive. Students will learn and practice honest, clear, compassionate communication to build the foundation of partnership. We will draw upon the natural forces of gravity and "metta" loving kindness to encourage the body to let go of fear and tension. The flow of basing and flying, giving and receiving, honoring and accepting, inhaling and exhaling will take both yogis into a new place of union and bliss. Some yoga experience
recommended, no partner needed.
Sunday, September 18th 1-4pm

September 25th
AcroYoga and YogaSlackers Unite!
YogaSlackers teacher Kendra Charts and AcroYoga teacher Aaron Lind join forces to bring you a day of acrobatic fun that will benefit the relief effort remediating the recent oil spill crisis in the Gulf of Mexico.
We will begin our morning with a circle ceremony at Swan River Yoga Mandir to set an intention for play and connection in community. Then we'll carpool to a nearby grassy area where we will learn yoga asanas on a slackline with Kendra. We will reconvene at Swan River in the afternoon for an intermediate level AcroYoga Acrobatics Workshop 1-4pm with Kendra and Aaron.
About Kendra's offering: 10AM-Noon
About Aaron's offering: 1-4PM
Acrobatic AcroYoga practice empowers students to realize their infinite potential through the embodiment of dynamic partnership. Linear progressions and an emphasis on the art of spotting make learning intermediate level acrobatics safe, accessible, and fun. Confidence and coordination are developed in strength training and inversions, which pave the way for ease and grace in partner acrobatics. Acrobatic flying transitions are trained in groups, where we specialize in the roles of base and flyer for optimum learning curve.
Suggested Donation $40
